The Healing Powers of Lemons
Dr. Tae Yun Kim has been emphasizing how important it is to take care of our health. In fact, it’s a big theme this year, and well it should be.
Because without your health – you really can’t do much of anything. Dr. Kim will often ask during her lectures: “Think of your most important goal you want to accomplish. For example, you want to get that new job. Or you want to invent a new gadget, write your memoir, get in better shape, or whatever your goal may be. Now what happens to your goal when you are laid up in the hospital, with an IV tube in your arm? Or even if you are at home, but very sick? Everything else will have to take a back seat and be on hold until you are healthy again, or at least your efforts will be slowed down. So let’s focus on our health first!”
To kick off the New Year, Dr. Tae Yun Kim gave a very simple recipe, one that is easy to follow, easy to do every day, and very tasty as well.
We all know that lemons have a lot of vitamin C, right? But did you know that lemons are great in fighting high cholesterol as well, they help balance the body’s pH, help the liver, and have a bunch of other health benefits?
So, in the morning, before you do or eat anything else,
Squeeze one lemon (per person), add 1-2 teaspoons of unprocessed organic honey (did you know that honey is a very powerful antibiotic, one that germs can’t get immune to?) and fill your cup with hot water – stir to dissolve the honey and enjoy!
And stay in tune for more amazing healing and helping things the beautiful lemon has in store for you!
