My Mentor, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim teaches us that we are unique individuals. In Seven Steps to Inner Power, she wrote,

“Your Silent Master is your Real Self, Your original Self.  It expresses Itself through your thinking, through true Ideas and Thoughts in your mind.  It is your eternal Selfhood that exists apart from your brain (which is a sensory processor only) and the personality traits imposed on you from your environment.”

Every time I opened this page, I am reminded to be original and not be a copy. Before my training with Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, I realized that I spent more time thinking and desiring to be someone else. I did not focus on my strengths and potentials. I invested more of my time comparing myself to others and wanting the good qualities I saw in
other people.

One day, I remember going to Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim‘s class and hearing this powerful message:

“If the eagle tries to become like the dolphin, wouldn’t that be funny? Let the eagle be the eagle, and the dolphin be the dolphin.  Let the butterfly be the butterfly. Let the flower be the flower.”

Every time I think about Great Grandmaster’s teaching, it helps me to learn to accept myself and to get to embrace my uniqueness to gain a deeper understanding of my strengths and potentials. Now, instead of trying to be somebody else, I invest my time in uncovering my talents and good qualities that I did not know I have.

Thank you, Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim for motivating me to find my true self and for instilling the message that I am one of a kind.
